Account deletion and data erasure

Last updated: October 28, 2026

If you're done with InSortio — whether you only tried it or used it for a long time — here's how to close your account and what happens to your data.

Your mail stays yours

InSortio only sorts mail into folders in your mailbox. Closing your account doesn't affect your mail — it stays at your provider in the folders it was sorted into; you can delete or rename those folders yourself.

How to request deletion

The account owner requests it in the portal under Details → Request deletion, or writes to us from the account email at info@insortio.com.

Before deleting the account, we check everything is settled (subscription, unpaid documents). Deletion is irreversible, so we confirm it manually; it's done within 30 days at the latest and we'll let you know.

You can remove an individual colleague yourself on the Team page; their access ends immediately.

What we delete

When your account is closed, the following disappears from our systems:

connected mailboxes including encrypted passwords;

learned senders, rules, settings and message records;

summaries and other results of AI features;

team memberships and invitations.

What stays for a while

We have to keep some data even after the account is closed:

tax documents and the data on them for the period required by law;

records of payments and admin actions for as long as legal claims can be made.

Don't want to delete everything?

You don't have to quit right away: disconnect a mailbox under Mailboxes (we delete its password), pause sorting, and forget individual senders under Senders.

If you want only part of your data deleted, write to us and we'll agree on it.

What we process about you and your rights are described in the privacy policy.
